the appleton's

i met up with the appleton's in stone harbor, nj for a family shoot....6 adults, 5 kids....one of the hottest days of summer, but everyone was in great spirits!

cutie pie cousins...

stella, rockin' the sunglasses...

sand-in-the-face brady...

ava....love the face...

ellie, who happens to be an awesome swimmer and gave me some pointers on technique!

no one got a picture when it was my turn next...

grandkids...(stella placed herself right in the back, hah)

i loved watching ava's intensity when flying the kite...

contest to see who can throw a kid higher... i think randy wins with his toss of brady...

i love brady's expression!

hot summer day, lots of playing.. you gotta refuel...

with blueberries, milk and mac 'n cheese...

i often caught rory making this ridiculously happy expression...contagious...

sisters...

rory walked over to the ocean and was looking out, then all of a sudden she starts doing this dance to the ocean-- it was ridiculously cute!

i had such a great time photographing the appleton's and i'm honored to have had the privilege to capture an afternoon of their family vacation...

lisa & mike

i've mentioned before that my clients are laid-back types, and lisa and mike are no exception. mike is so laid-back he didn't even see season's before they booked it. on their wedding day ifound out that he bought an apartment without seeing it as well... he let lisa and his mom pick it out. now if that isn't laid-back....i don't know what is....

love this...

this little guy is awesome... i hadn't used my flash until i took this picture. he asked me if it was lightning for my camera. i love that... lightning for my camera!

i'm hoping whatever he is pointing at wasn't important enough for me to be taking a picture of...hahaha....

goldfish and treasure chests... a few guests won ipod nanos and amazon kindles!

mike does his moves to 'all the single ladies'...

if i was a kid at a wedding, i'd totally be standing over these floor lights too...

i don't know what you call these, but they were yummy...

tie-yanking?

thanks to lisa and mike for going with the flow and being so pleasant to work with!
